This comes up time and again where people are asking how to estimate their maintenance calories...both with and without activity level.
So I thought I'd make an Excel Calculator available to help folks out. Based on the first study in this thread, the Mifflin St. Jeor Equation appears to be the most accurate predictive equation for most folks, men and women, so that's the first formula I used.
Based on the second study in the same thread, a newer equation has been developed that apparently is a better estimator for male athletes, so I've included a calculator based on that on as well.
Both easy-to-use calculators are in the same spreadsheet.
